"As a vegetarian, I never thought I’d enjoy a club sandwich again, but Pop-A-Top made magic happen! This sandwich was incredibly delicious and the pumpernickel bread sealed the deal. The person working the counter was outstanding and took the time to explain their menu and make suggestions. Great place, we will definitely be back to try more!"

"‼PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE GOING HERE‼ Whoever thought to themselves “man Flaco’s has the best Cubans” or “Mi Apa has pretty darn good Cubans” clearly hasn’t tried Pop A Top’s Tampa Cuban. I’ve had mine made by at least three different people there, and somehow it comes out the same amazing quality every single time. I don’t know if they have a secret sandwich wizard in the back making sure everything is perfect, but I respect it. This place isn’t just about the sandwich either. It has a phenomenal atmosphere, great music, cold beer and soda, and seriously amazing food. On top of that, the employees are stellar. Every time I walk into this little diamond in the rough corner store, I’m greeted not just with a hello but with a warm, calming vibe that makes the whole place feel welcoming. Honestly, leaving feels like saying goodbye to a good friend… or at least like leaving a really good party that still has food on the table. If you haven’t tried them yet, please do yourself a favor and stop by. And get the Tampa Cuban. I cannot stress this enough. Get the Tampa Cuban. Your taste buds will thank you and you might start questioning every other Cuban sandwich you’ve ever eaten."

"Well after seeing my friends at food with the fellas review here and numerous people telling me to check em out, decided to drop in and pick up a sandwich for dinner. Ordered the Italian cold cut for myself and the highly recommended Tampa Cuban for my wife. Both John and Kaylee(sp) were very friendly and knew there local hot spots in Gainesville, Was a pleasure talking with them. Both our sandwiches lived up to the hype!! Wife throughly enjoy the cuban and my italian was amazing!! Look forward to trying the roast beef next month hopefully..hint hint....... Definitely worth the stop for the food and service. "As an AVID pop a top goer-if you have yet to step foot in pop a top you are missing out. The chicken salad sandwich is from my dreams. I could eat it everyday for lunch and dinner the rest of my lifetime. I am quite sad to be leaving Gainesville in the near future and have to say a big part of that is because of pop a top chicken salad sandwich. Nothing will ever be the same what will I ever do. My only complaint is that they are closed from 5-nighttime on Monday-Wednesday which limits my time option to get a chicken salad sandwich. I sware l see the staff at pop a top more than my roommates they are the best. Long live pop."
